With our BG-FILCOTEN products, we are pursuing a unique path of total transparency and have subjected the system to a rigorous, independent environmental analysis¹). This takes the form of a Life Cycle Assessment in line with ISO 14040 & ISO 14044 as well as EN 15804 and uses recognised indicators, such as the Global Warming Potential (GWP), Cumulative Energy Expenditure (CEE) and Abiotic Resource Use (ARU).

When it comes to our production processes, we focus on the highest possible level of environmental protection, from the selection of raw materials through to avoiding excess waste. With this in mind, we have implemented a certified environmental and energy management system in accordance with ISO 14001 and 50001 at our location in Oberwang, Austria.

We develop our products with the aim of maximising their performance. And by performance, we also mean protecting people and the environment as much as possible.
Sustainable to the end: We use recyclable raw materials.
Most of our products are made of mineral raw materials or metal. They are therefore 100% recyclable and can be assigned to quality class U-A according to the certification by the Salzburg Institute for Construction Engineering Research (bvfs), a state-accredited test and research facility for building construction and building materials.
Clean energy for clean products.
We rely on the use of green energy. For our BG-FILCOTEN channels we even use 100% renewable energies.
FILCOTEN for example: certified non-toxic
This means that our innovative FILCOTEN HPC material is free of artificial resins and solvents. So, even during production it is safe for people and nature. FILCOTEN channel bodies have been certified as organic construction material by the IBR (Institut für Baubiologie Rosenheim GmbH).
The various fixing options for our gratings naturally meet the requirements of channel standard EN 1433. Furthermore, they also allow you to adapt the level of safety to your own requirements.
The fiX-locking system ensures a rapid, secure fixing of the cover, while the anti-vandalism lock goes one step further.

Push the anti-vandalism lock into the retaining spring provided in the cover until it snaps into place.
Place the cover into the BG-FILCOTEN tec/pro channel as described for the fiX-locking system below.
Push the cover firmly into the channel until it snaps into place.
Lock the anti-vandalism lock by twisting the bolt.

The “fiX-locking system” enables the 4-point quick-locking of the cover in the channel. The locking springs for each grating variant engage in the notch in the edge and the cover is simply and securely mounted.
The covers are initially precisely fitted on one side of the channel and are locked simply by turning the grating.
Pay attention to the openings in the edge with which the pins of the protection against longitudinal movement engage.
The fiX-locking system fastens the covers in the edge. This connection can be unfastened by pulling it out.
The fiX-locking system can be used with cast iron and mesh gratings.

The half-side tongue/groove/tenon system ensures that the channels are precisely aligned in a longitudinal direction when connected, without any lateral shifting. At the same time, the chamfered base offers sufficient “space” for installation concrete.

Slot tops are ideal for architecturally demanding surfaces in which the design is just as important as the function.
The narrow slot width of 12.5 mm, or 2x6 mm of our Heelproof version with double slot, means that they can be perfectly fitted into the alignment of slots on the surface.
The construction time cover should remain in the slot top during the entire construction time, as this prevents deformation and contamination of the system.
The maintenance units are integrated into the channel run. This does not damage the optics of the run.
The inlaid part of the maintenance unit can quickly and easily be removed for cleaning purposes using an opening tool.
If channels are more than 2 metres long, the water flows just as well with a slot top off as with a classic cover.
the inlet cross-section of the slot top is – just like the inlet cross-section of a classic cover – larger than the outlet cross-section of the connected sewer pipe. So only the amount of water permitted by the sewer pipe flows, regardless of the cover.
