After all, we are a member of the<strong> Climate Alliance</strong> Austria, the country’s largest climate protection network, for a reason.</p><h2>Our view of entrepreneurship is not to look at the profit alone.</h2><p>The company’s success and development will always be closely connected to its responsibility to society – and for the environment. After all, what good is a huge profit if you can’t bare to look at yourself in the mirror at the end of the day?<br> </p><h2>Lived sustainability in all its facets.</h2><p>For this reason, the sustainable use of our environment is a key element of our corporate culture and more than just a marketing promise:<br> </p><h2>certified environmentally friendly production.</h2><p>When it comes to our production processes, we focus on the highest possible level of environmental protection, from the selection of raw materials through to avoiding excess waste. With this in mind, we have implemented a certified environmental and energy management system in accordance with ISO 14001 and 50001 at our location in Oberwang, Austria.<br> </p><h2>High-performance products: with a view to protecting people and nature.</h2><p>We develop our products with the aim of maximising their performance. And by performance, we also mean protecting people and the environment as much as possible.<br> </p><h2>Sustainable to the end: We use recyclable raw materials.</h2><p>Most of our products are made of mineral raw materials or metal. They are therefore 100% recyclable and can be assigned to quality class U-A according to the certification by the Salzburg Institute for Construction Engineering Research (bvfs), a state-accredited test and research facility for building construction and building materials.<br> </p><h2>Clean energy for clean products.</h2><p>We rely on the use of green energy. For our BG-FILCOTEN® products, we even use 100% renewable energies and no fossil fuels whatsoever.</p>

<h2>Full transparency – nature deserves it.</h2><p>With our BG-FILCOTEN® products, we are following a unique path of total transparency and have subjected the system to rigorous, independent environmental analysis¹). That takes the form of a Life Cycle Assessment in line with ISO 14040 & ISO 14044 or EN 15804 and using recognized indicators such as the Global Warming Potential (GWP), Cumulative Energy Expenditure (CEE) and Abiotic Resource Use (ARU).</p><p> </p><h2>We put all our cards on the table – and even let others look over our shoulder.</h2><p>To confirm our transparent data, the product Life Cycle Assessment for phases A1–A4 was subsequently verified by external experts²) in line with EN 15804.</p><p> </p>

<p>Slot tops are ideal for architecturally demanding surfaces in which the design is just as important as the function.<br> </p><p>The narrow slot width of 12.5 mm, or 2x6 mm of our Heelproof version with double slot, means that they can be perfectly fitted into the alignment of slots on the surface.<br> </p><p>The construction time cover should remain in the slot top during the entire construction time, as this prevents deformation and contamination of the system.</p><p> </p><p>The maintenance units are integrated into the channel run. This does not damage the optics of the run.</p><p> </p><p>The inlaid part of the maintenance unit can quickly and easily be removed for cleaning purposes using an opening tool.</p><h2>Inlet/outlet cross-section</h2><p>If channels are more than 2 metres long, the water flows just as well with a slot top off as with a classic cover.</p><h2>The reason:</h2><p>the inlet cross-section of the slot top is – just like the inlet cross-section of a classic cover – larger than the outlet cross-section of the connected sewer pipe. So only the amount of water permitted by the sewer pipe flows, regardless of the cover.</p>

Colour and coating

of cast iron grates

<p>Our cast (ductile) iron grates are supplied with a <strong>black, water-based coating</strong> as standard.</p><p> </p><p><span class="text--primary"><strong>Important note:</strong></span> Cast iron is a natural material. Over time, exposure to the elements causes a thin layer of iron oxide to form. This changes the appearance, and the originally black surface takes on a <strong>brownish-reddish patina</strong>.</p><p>Coatings such as KTL can only slow down this process, but cannot prevent it permanently.
