How It Works

<p>The BG-AQUA OGS uses hydrodynamic separation and density-based principles to treat stormwater: </p><p><strong>Grit Chamber</strong>: Slows stormwater velocity, allowing sediments (e.g., sand, gravel) and TSS to settle. </p><p><strong>Coalescing Filter</strong>: Enhances hydrocarbon capture by encouraging fine oil droplets to merge and float to the surface. </p><p><strong>Automatic Closure Device</strong>: Prevents discharge of captured hydrocarbons during high oil accumulation, sinking in oil (density 0.85) to close the outlet. </p><p><strong>Sludge Trap</strong>: Isolates settled solids to prevent re-discharge, with a storage capacity of at least 2m³/ha. </p><p>Clean water is directed to the outlet, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. </p>
